Jacqueline Riding (Birkbeck College)
Jacqueline Riding is currently an Associate Research Fellow in the School of Arts at Birkbeck College. She specialises in eighteenth-century British Art. Her MA dissertation subject was the amateur artist and poet Susanna Duncombe nee Highmore (1725-1812) (Birkbeck College), the daughter of the painter Joseph Highmore (1692-1780) the subject of her PhD thesis, (University of York). She has published on Duncombe, and is currently devising an in-focus display of her work (part of the Highmore Family Gift) with Dr Clare Barlow, Tate Britain.
